Isaac Foss Jeffreys is a photographer who lives and works in and around New York, NY. Completing a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design in 2022, his work engages with the layered histories of place, memory, and architecture. Much of his practice centers on the Borscht Belt resorts of the Catskill Mountains, creating a new visual dialogue that both preserves and reimagines the legacy of the era. He also photographs Americana-adjacent structures across the country, seeking out singular buildings whose presence feels fabulous, uncanny, and ethereal.

Working with a variety of film formats, from medium to large, Isaac’s process is shaped by light, atmosphere, and a fascination with design in dialogue with landscape. His images are steeped in sentimentality, glamour, and nostalgia, drawing inspiration from mid-century American resort culture while embracing photography as both preservation and interpretation. He is currently developing a photo book that will showcase the vibrance of the Borscht Belt hotels through his lens, and he serves as co-founder and visual coordinator of The Borscht Belt Historical Marker Project. https://borschtbelthistoricalmarkerproject.org/
